You+INSPIRE Contest Highlights Athletes with Physical Disabilities

A to Z Sports Inc., a Seattle-based sports development company launches the You+INSPIRE inaugural story contest, dedicated to highlighting the stories of athletes who have overcome physical disabilities to compete in sports. Athletes over the age of 13 with physical disabilities are encouraged to contribute their stories and a practice or competition video in the You+Inspire program. From the participants five winners will be selected and featured in a professionally produced documentary broadcasting their story on the A to Z Sports Inc. homepage. In addition, each winner will receive sports merchandize from his or her favorite sports team. All submissions must be received by October 12, 2007.

“Sports have had an incredible influence in my life and have provided me with some amazing moments and I know there are thousands of other athletes out there just like mine” says Nate Higgens, nationally-ranked disabled swimmer and You+Inspire Program Director. “I am really excited about the opportunity to recognize some exceptional athletes that might not normally get the support that other athletes receive!”

A to Z Sports Inc. has teamed up with Northwest Adaptive Sports, National Disability Sports Alliance, and Wheelchair Sports USA to promote the You+Inspire Story Contest. For more information or to enter the You+Inspire Contest, visit www.atozsports.com/youinspire, or contact Program Director Nate Higgins at nateh@atozsports.com.
