Renewing Your License

All licenses regardless of issuance date are subject to renewal triennial by June 30, every three (3) years, (2025, 2028)
Licenses not renewed by license expiration date are unlicensed and may not practice.
You will receive a renewal notice in the mail from the Dept. of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA). The renewal notice will be sent to the address the Department has on file for you. If you have moved since you received your license, you need to contact DCCA to update your address. To contact DCCA: Address: DCCA-PVL, P.O. The next expiration date is June 30, 2025.

Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) – active status, $177.00
Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) – inactive status, $12.00
Licensed Social Worker (LSW) – active status, $222.00
Licensed Social Worker (LSW) – inactive status, $12.00
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – $270.00
Forfeited licenses may be restored within 1 year and subject to meeting restoration requirements. Failure to restore a forfeited license within 1 year after the license expiration date will result in the termination of the license and the person must apply as a new applicant and meet current licensing requirements.
